학력
Sebastian Claren studied musicology, philosophy and art history in Heidelberg and Berlin , and composition in Berlin and Freiburg . His composition teachers were Walter Zimmermann and Mathias Spahlinger. He has participated in workshops such as Salvatore Sciarrino’s composition seminar at the Stuttgart State Opera in 2004 and the International Gugak Workshop at the National Gugak Center in Seoul in 2014

Sebastian Claren was a lecturer at the Darmstadt Summer Courses and the Ostrava New Music Days. From 2016 to 2018 he taught contemporary music at the Musikhochschule Leipzig. Since 2021 he teaches composition at Seoul National University
